The Gramoflor GmbH & Co. KG consolidates:

• The own powerful production factories in Germany as well as on the Iberian Peninsula (Spain) and the own distribution of substrates and potting soils with accompanying expert advice.
• The own research and development of innovative substrate solutions with the objective of raising the share of renewable resources constantly
• The regional extraction of peat according to the "upper and subfield method" with the long-term objective to create living mires on areas which were formerly used agriculturally

Our Tradition and Responsibility

For over 100 years the independent family company is located at the current location in North Germany. After 20 years of Tradition in Spain by now, the Gramoflor Ibérica SLU has been founded and an own factory has been built on the Iberian Peninsula. These are our starting points for our activities on the national and international markets.

Our commitment to nature and the next generations are the successful renaturation of own peat extraction sites and the preferred usage of renewable resources.

Because of the current market requirements and the fact that peat still is necessary in professional horticulture, the missing amounts of peat are purchased from Germany and other countries.

Our Objectives

Our main objectives are "responsible growth with good conscience" together with our customers, crop safety and economic success. This is how we secure our market success and the power to invest in new technology, in research and development and good employees.
With the goal of increasing the peat replacement rate for professional substrates to 30% by volume by 2025, we will be the industry leader. For the hobby soil sector, the target set for 2025 is 50% by volume.
