The peat extraction in the upper and subfield process makes it possible to already start renaturation during peat extraction. In the upper field the peat is extracted and in the meantime renaturation in the subfields runs side by side. This method gives the typical mire vegetation a head start and provides the best conditions for the living mires and biotopes.
